I completed the installation of the VITORIA 5000 this past week. I took my time and had another person there to help. I built it on a concrete pad so anchoring was easy with concrete anchors and bolts provided. A couple of notes on construction: 1. The very first thing you do is join together the two side pieces. USE THE SILICONE AS INSTRUCTED. When it rains the joint will leak if not silicone sealed. 2. The side trim molding will side easily if you ensure that you are in the channel provided. 3. I used all the proper sized bolts during the build per instructions. The 90mm bolts used to secure the top of posts end up being too long. Not real problem except the beauty caps do not fit on the nut end due to the bolt length. 4. I am looking to add downspouts to the end caps. We experienced heavy rain yesterday and the free drop to the ground surface is way too splashy. All in all the carport is visually pleasing, sturdy in place, and covers the car for better protection.

This is an additional review of the Vitoria 5000 carport I installed. I wanted to offer a suggestion to those trying to engineer a good way to get water off the carport and away from the house. I found a device readily available and reasonably inexpensive. The Oatey Rainwater Collection System. It is intended to shunt rainwater from an existing downspout to a catch barrel of some kind. I bought one and flipped it upside down and used it to flow water from the carport to an adjacent downspout. I used schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings to make the connections. NOTE: PVC pipe can be bent to shape to get the contour you desire. I used an industrial heat gun to heat the pipe and gently bend it. The Oatley system has some quality grade tube that I used to make the connections flexible to allow easy installation. Seal all connections with silicone and water should not be a problem. Hope this helps someone. NOTE: This app does not allow me to upload photos. A link to the Oatey system is here: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Oatey-Mystic-Rainwater-Diverter/1002928554
